Loving media week – where this piece was spotted :

“DMG offers up digital Novanation and Koffee”

“DMG Radio Australia CEO Cathy O’Connor and group program director Dean Buchanan last night revealed the station has chosen two brands to promote as its ‘headline’ radio offering when digital audio broadcasting is launched in the coming weeks. ”

The two brands are:
+ Novanation – Australia’s first national commercial dance station to be heard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online and on digital radio – covering the full spectrum of dance and the top DJs from all genres. (for those who obviously love dance music and or are die-hard fans)
+ Koffee is a ‘mood and lifestyle-driven brand’ that plays music to encourage listeners to chill.

According to DMG as articulated by media week “Koffee provides escape from the pace of life in Australia’s biggest cities” and will initially be heard on DAB in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The two new radio stations which are already available online ‚are ad free…. just non-stop music with no intrusive DJ patter. If you need to know what song is being played just check the digital readout.

The story explains DMG has also developed an iPhone and iPod Touch application which will be available free from the App Store .

Interestingly the national Coffee Club, chain apparently will be streaming the Koffee station in all of its 200 stores … adfree ????

Media week also noted they think DMG Radio has nailed the sound of these two new digital offerings….

the redset loves the fact there is “no intrusive DJ patter”
